Here are two ways to make a password for the guest account

1. Make sure you are logged on as an Administrator.
2. Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management.
3. Select the “Users” folder under “Local Users and Groups”.
4. Right click on the “Guest” account and click “Set Password”. When a dialog comes up warning you of the possible consequences click “Proceed”. You will then be given a dialog that lets you set a new password.
Here is the second way
1 click run
2 type cmd
3 in cmd type net user guest passsword
4 then go to user account and pick change the password and type in a password

Turn you computer on and press F8 till it brings up a screen saying if you want to boot in safe mode. It has some more options on the page as well. I may talk about them later in another Post.
Step 1: Click start-run, and type in control userpasswords2 in the box.
Step 2: Select the name that you want to use for automatic logon in the list of users.
Step 3: Untick the box that says: Users need to type in a user name and password.
Step 4: Type in your user name and password twice.
Step 5: Reboot.
If you have done a clean installation of windows you will be bugged by the ‘Take The Tour’ balloon. If you are a experienced user you can get rid of the ‘Take The Tour Balloon’ by doing this.
1. Click Start Run type regedit and press enter.
2. Go down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/
Applets/Tour
3.If the value RunCount isn’t there in the right window,right-click in the window and select New ‘DWORD value’.
4. Type RunCount in the Name field and press Enter.*

If you are an advanced user and don’t want to install a program to get rid of the start up items you can do this.
1. click on start then click run.
2. type in msconfig
3. click on the startup tab then untick the ones you don’t want.

1. Right-click a blank spot on the taskbar and select Properties.
2. Click the customise button on the ‘Start Menu’ tab.
3. On the advanced tab, untick ‘Highlight newly installed programs’ and click OK twice.
